This wine presents vibrant aromatics of bright red fruit, highlighted by the luscious essence of pomegranate and subtle notes of spices. On the palate, it boasts well-integrated red fruit, vibrant acidity, complemented by hints of cedar, leather, and a touch of pepper.

The finish is both long and supple, characterized by polished yet firm tannins that contribute to a well-balanced elegant wine. This wine properly stored will age gracefully for a decade or more.

About the 2022 Vintage

This opulent red blend offers seducing aromas of fresh picked blackberries, cherry cordial, and cedar, laced with hints of violets & spice. The palate possesses a luxurious structure of dark fruit & spice framed by a rich dense finish of smokey oak and plush tannins with a freshness of acidity and palate warmth.

You may pair this wonderful wine with steak, lamb, rabbit, pork or to be enjoyed on its own. This wine will continue to age gracefully for a decade or more.

About the 2020 Vintage

The 2020 growing season started with a hard frost on Mother’s Day that reduced yields by 40%. The remaining fruit exhibited great balance and concentrated flavors, highlighting the varietal characteristics.This rich and luxurious full bodied wine is layered in enticing aromas of dark fruit jam, spice and shaved chocolate. This wine lavishes your palate with berries, crushed herbs and vanilla. The finish is supple and velvety with polished tannins and fruit with a kiss of minerals.

You may pair this wonderful wine with steak, lamb, rabbit, pork or to be enjoyed on its own. This wine will continue to age gracefully for a decade or more.

How the name “JOLOTAGE” was Derived

JOLOTAGE is a wine that was created to resemble a “Bordeaux Blend” style or the prestigious American alternative “Red Meritage” blend. Owner and Wine Maker, JW Ray, used a play on words to establish the name and incorporated the winery’s name “JOLO” with the word “Meritage” to represent JOLO’s style of the Bordeaux or Meritage blend. Although not every vintage is a combination of the 5-6 permitted varieties in these blends, this wine’s inspiration are those two red blend benchmarks of quality and excellence.
