The Winston-Salem Journal just announced the winners today, and JOLO Winery & Vineyards earned the most votes among the five nominations in the "Best Winery" category. This is the first year the family-owned, small production winery took the top spot in this highly competitive hospitality and lifestyle category.
According to Dawn Doub, Multimedia Account Executive for the Winston-Salem Journal, the 2018 contest accumulated approximately 150,233 total votes.
“As a destination winery, we are truly honored and excited for JOLO Winery & Vineyards to be voted as the ‘Best Winery' in the area” said JW Ray, Winemaker and Founder of JOLO Winery & Vineyards, “We celebrate this significant achievement with our amazing staff who have worked so hard to make JOLO a must-visit winery in the Yadkin Valley. We thank all of our JOLO Club members and fans who took the time to vote."
The Winston-Salem Journal is the leading source of news, sports, and entertainment in Forsyth County, North Carolina. They have been running the Readers Choice contest for about 10 years.
