Two Yadkin Valley Winemakers to Collaborate on Blend Offering

October 8, 2015 JOLO Winery & Vineyards and Raffaldini Vineyards are pleased to announce a joint collaboration on a red wine blend offering to be released in 2016. "Although it is not uncommon for local winemakers to purchase grapes from the estates of other local wineries, our partnership is a first of its kind in the Yadkin Valley AVA," says JW Ray, Owner and Winemaker of JOLO Winery & Vineyards. The name of the wine offering, as well as the composition of grapes being blended, is still top secret. Jay Raffaldini, Owner and Winemaker of Raffaldini Vineyards, agrees and adds, "As hands-on winemakers as well as friends, the decision to work together on a unique red wine blend was an easy one." Although the wine offering release to the public is months away, JW Ray and Jay Raffaldini will be co-hosting a barrel tasting for current and future JOLO Wine Club members to take place on Saturday, October 31, 2015. The wine sampling will be part of a special five-course gourmet dinner and international wine pairing event held on the JOLO estate.
